- It is not safe to consume Glimestar M2 Tablets while drinking alcohol as it may cause low sugar levels or Lactic Acidosis
- Do not take a double dose of Glimestar M2 Tablet PR if you miss a dosage skip the dose and follow the regular schedule prescribed by your doctor
Glimestar M2 Tablet may interact with the following drugs, consult your doctor if you use any of them
- Insulin (Injection or other forms)
- BP Tablets
- Water Pills (Diuretics)
- Medicines taken for Heart Failure
- Tablets that are taken for Hypertension
- Steroids
- Thyroid hormones
Pregnancy interaction:
Pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers must not take Glimestar-M2 Tablet medication as it is not safe during pregnancy and may affect the baby

- Take Glimestar M2 Tablet with or after breakfast or at a time your doctor has specified. Avoid skipping breakfast, lunch, or dinner
- Check your blood sugar levels regularly when you take this medicine to see whether it improves your condition
- Glimestar-M2 Tablet PR can cause low sugar levels if you take it along with other anti-diabetic tablets you may use (inform your doctor), alcohol or if you delay meals or miss breakfast, lunch, or dinner
- Always carry any sugar food chocolate or juice with you if you feel low sugar (hypoglycemia) symptoms such as cold pale skin, sweating, shaking of hands or legs, and uneasiness (anxiety)
- Get your liver function regularly checked by your doctor. Inform your doctor if you feel symptoms like stomach pain, loss of appetite, jaundice (eyes and skin change yellow in color)
- Inform your doctor immediately if you experience any deep or rapid breathing, sick sensation, vomiting, and stomach pain as Metformin may rarely cause a serious condition called lactic acidosis (excess of lactic acid in the blood). Use of Metformin for a long time may cause vitamin B12 deficiency
