• Take the injection 15 minutes before eating food or within 20 minutes after starting to eat
• Injection below the skin of the abdomen has a faster absorption rate than other injection sites
• Do not massage after taking the injection
• Injection sites must be changed every time to avoid the formation of lumps at the site of injection
• Change to another type or brand of insulin should be done under strict medical supervision
• If there are low sugar symptoms carry chocolate, sugar food, or juice for relief
• Do not share your insulin pen or injecting device as it may cause infections
• Opened insulin vials/cartridges can be kept good at room temperature for up to 4 weeks and unopened vials must be stored in the refrigerator
